         <description><![CDATA[<div>Two things that stood out for the first grade team, was that the first non-fiction units fell at a time in the year when we were heavy into social studies instead of science.  Last year it aligned better when we were at the end of the year when we could integrate the units with all of our science work, and write all about books on animals.  <br><br>Teachers thought that the last two units were supposed to make up for that, but at this time of year, reality is that we are doing more assessing than teaching.</div>]]></description>
