Thanks for your contribution. I hope you are aware that there are only two of you remaining?

I would suggest that you make use of the reading material for the unit and work your way out from there. You should actually also be looking at how we think this issue is an issue. In other words you should make use of the idea about moral panic. I would suggest you look at the readings for week 1. I would also be asking myself Why is it a social issue for young people but we don't seem to think it is a social issue for adults. Again look at week one material I have also attached a link of a book that may help you. Some of your sources which you state are credible are actually grey material. They are not 100% credible as 1) maybe they have used statistics which can be manipulated 2) it is not peer reviewed.

I sent an email and may have also put a link on blackboard about how to tell if something is credible or not.
Just to provide an explanation of the purpose of the padlet this is what I have said to other students: you post anything you want. Imagine you are researching for an essay and the topic is about depression and young people. Normally you would look at a variety of articles etc and then once you feel you understand the topic you would write the essay and make use of SOME of the articles you found. Essentially that is all this part of the assignment is about. You don't need to talk to any of the group members. The padlet is somewhere you can store your information and it also allows you to share that with others you will be writing about the same topic. (Your group members) You may find when it comes time to write your essay there is 100 articles because each person in your group have found lots of articles. You then write your essay without needing to do lots and lots of research finding articles because you have worked as a team. You would obviously not use all 100 articles just as when you research for any assignment you will look at material that you may not use in the final essay but that material has helped inform you about the topic.
