Jeonil Building 245 is one of the buildings related to the May 18 pro-democracy movement. Jeonil Building 245 was originally occupied by the Jeonnam Ilbo and Jeonil Broadcasting. This building is the place where helicopter shots were fired during the May 18 pro-democracy movement, and it was a building that some civic forces resisted during the crackdown on the provincial government on May 27. At that time, Jeonil Broadcasting employees disguised some of their civic forces as Jeonil Broadcasting employees to avoid arrest, and weapons recovered by themselves were stored in the basement of the Jeonil Building. The number on the name "Jeonil Building 245" is given due to the address under the road address system, but coincidentally, it is said to match the number of bullets found in the building. I hope that "Jeonil Building 245," the site of an important incident in the May 18 pro-democracy movement, will be known to more people.
