I didn't know that there was a green book for Black Travelers until today. I think it is good that they knew where was safe. But, l didn't think it was right for places to not let you in because of your race. It didn't really remind me of anything because I have never read a book quite like this. I think it was an interesting and pretty cool idea for someone to come up with a travel book to keep people safe.

This book so far has made me sad. The main reason i feel this way is the discrimination. How when G'ma talks about how back in the day her husband couldn't go all of the places she could. This meant that they couldn't be as happy together and that's where they wanted to be. Also how Scoobs dad talks negatively about his G'pop. But over all this is a great book so far and would recommend 100%

Some new information that was new to me was that Scoob's mom actually came back kind of. She called so she could see her kid. This made me feel kind of sad for both the mom and the kid. I understand that the mom wasn't ready for the kid, but you just let a kid grow up without a mom. So therefore there will be an empty spot that needs to be filled in. So its filled in with G'ma. This reminded me of an adoption center.

Well, it is new information that G pop was a thief. It is also now apparent that Scoobs father has a grudge against Scoob's mother. I find it a bit ironic that Scoob's father stayed, and his mom left, since it is usually the other way around. I feel bad that Scoob tripped on a root, and had a rock dig into his arm. It reminds me of the summer I had a metal splinter stuck in my foot, and my dad had to use a knife to dig it out. I must've cried alot while my father took it out!

It was new to me and sad to me that Scoob never got to meet his Grandfather because I am very close to my Grandfather. The book reminds me of going to New Hampshire with my Grandparents and spending time with my Grandparents. We always stop at The Wakefield diner and eat breakfast. The Damn Yankee diner reminds me of Tennessee Barbecue. It makes me angry and upset that Bryce didn't get into trouble for bullying Drake. I was surprised that the G'm was very short. This book is very entertaining.

It makes me angry that there was a book telling where black people could and could not go. I agree that it was useful, but it means that there were places that black people could get turned away if white people wished that they would not go to their businesses. And if a black person accidentally walked into a white restaurant they could get hurt by a white person just because they were there. It really is annoying that that happened. And even though segregation does not exist today, there is still racism in america. Take George Floyd for example, we was being suffocated, he said that he could not breathe, but the police officer did not care, and suffocated him to death. Just because he was black.
