They found out that Plečnik helped shape the look of cities like Vienna, Prague, and Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital. The students really liked his beautiful winter and summer gardens and were surprised to learn that Plečnik actually liked plants and animals more than spending time with people! After the visit, the students went on a Plečnik’s Walking Tour. Using a map of Ljubljana, they located, presented and even drew some of Plečnik’s most famous buildings, such as Trnovo Bridge, Križanke Summer Theatre, the Triple Bridge, and the National and University Library (NUK). It was a fun way for them to explore the city and see Plečnik’s work up close!
