         <description><![CDATA[<p>This also applies within the curriculum that teachers are given and the way it forms a sense of pathway towards a student's understanding and knowledge of literacy. For instance, their research includes and approaches the way the curriculum can make an impact, "The existence of the remedial writing course contradicts the premises of diversity and inclusion by labeling students as “different from” their so-called “college-ready” peers." Meaning, that certain structures can impact the way students enter college and what each student is familiar with, and which student isn't, depending on how they approached literacy growing up.</p>]]></description>
