In the online classroom and in the face-to-face classroom you will always run into behaviors and behavior issues. Having a way to have positive reinforcements as well as negative consequences helps the classroom run smoothly and keeps our students accountable.

Pros - Keeps behavior down to a minimum, helps the students look forward to rewards, keeps expectations high.

Cons- Hard to manage on a live session where you have multiple students on multiple screens, only works if you set your expectations and really work on them throughout the year.

This is best when you are all together and in a live session. You want to help your students in their time of need with academics, but that is not the only thing they need help with. Students need help learning about emotions and how to deal with them. Through SEL they learn about emotions and how they can help themselves when others aren't around to help. Great resource to help you and your students.

This is a great resource for communication and assignments. You can only join a flipgrid if you have the code, if you don’t have it then you can not gain access to it. This keeps things private and keeps unwanted people out. This is also a great tool for lessons. You can post a video and create a post for students to answer through video. You as a teacher can see the responses or you can make it so the whole class can see each other's responses. This also helps students who feel shy sharing in a large group setting can have more freedom and feel less pressure sharing through a video. Making them feel comfortable in a virtual classroom is just as important as making them feel comfortable in an online classroom.
