How is cell division demonstrated in this lab? When the stem cells become differentiated, they go through mitosis and divide. This will allow them to become differentiated in the root and grow the new plant.

What is the definition of cell differentiation? Process of a cell becoming a specialized cell.

How is cell differentiation demonstrated in this lab? The stem cells become differentiated in the stem of the plant so they could grow the new plant from the scrap.

Summarize the results of your experiment. In our experiment, the experimental group became moldy, so we had to throw it out. The control group went well and grew, but we wished we could have done it longer so we could see it grow more.

Explain whether your data supported or refuted your hypothesis. Our data supports our hypothesis because like we predicted, the experimental group did not grow as well.

Explain any improvements you could make and/or any errors that occurred during the lab experience. In the lab, we didn't bury the potatoes enough so they weren't able to get all of the nutrients from the soil. This might be why the plant didn't grow as fast as we wanted to.
