Put less stress onto their work because they had to produce a certain quality yarn but if they were not forced to make this certain quality, work conditions could be better.

Make the age requirement higher because he seemed to care a lot about the children working which he wouldn't have to if the age requirement was higher.

  • They would want an increase in pay, because the factories were making very large amounts of money off of them.
  • They would want decreased hours and would much prefer a 9-5 as is common today.
  • They would want an increased lunch break where they could leave the factory and eat outdoors, instead of forcing them to eat when they had no appetite.
