Admin are the first person people see in person and hear on the phone - you keep the behind the scenes ball rolling!

Admin and Clerical are vital!

You keep the department running. Without admin and clerical there would be no patients in the outpatient areas as they wouldn't have registered referrals, or appointments booked. There would be no stats recorded as required by MOH and the therapists wouldn't know what their work days held as no printouts would be done. Patients would aimlessly be wandering the hospital looking for their destinations. There would be no first point of contact entering the Physical Medicine building which is nowhere close to the main entrance.

Your work is essential!

Without the Administration Staff our Hospitals would not be able to function as the admin staff do all the paper work, such as booking in referrals, making appointments for both Outpatient clinic's and Elective surgery, ensuring Medical Records/Paper work are up to date and also helping Clinical staff solve administrative problems. Also the Medical Typists who type all Clinical staff correspondence and have to try and understand various Medical terms and decipher all the different accents of staff doing the dictation. Well done Administration staff.

Admin workers are worth their weight in gold - they're so important to the effective running of any organisation, and it cheeses me off that they're undervalued and underpaid - they're essential! Good administrators are project managers, but because they're predominantly women, a whole male-dominated profession has been developed for "project management".
