Coming from a joint family, my parents have always ensured that we celebrate the fest all under one roof. 
Other than that, we ensure that we all celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and small achievements, let that be winning a tennis game by vardaan’s cousins or just a long weekend. We always find ways to go out if not for dinners, then for a short drive and of course finishing up with a cup of ice cream.

If there are festivals which we don't celebrate at home for example Ganesh Chaturthi we take him to pandals or friend house who are celeberating. Other than the traditional festivals birthdays are an important celeberation. Also marriages, welcoming new family member , his achievements are extremely important and are celeberated.
