A refugee is a person who is discriminated against because of nationality, race, religion, social group membership or political opinion in his country, and can not return to his country because of such persecution.

The government enacted the "Law Concerning the Protection and Settlement of North Korean Defectors" in 1997 to protect and support North Korean defectors. This law was amended in 2010 to include the establishment of the North Korean defectors 'relief foundation, the North Korean defectors' preliminary school, and measures to strengthen employment support.

In the beginning, settlement subsidies, housing subsidies, housing arrangements, etc. are provided for the economic base for North Korean defectors. After the incorporation into society, subsidies for living and medical care, tuition support, vocational training and employment protection are supported.

Our agency has created and provided job training for refugees to help them become independent

 
Our organization is conducting cultural education to help refugees adapt quickly. Cultural education includes writing education, Korean culture education, and cultural experience. Cultural education is held every Saturday and Sunday.
