The evidence is the big cannon which implies that the British have a strong and big weapon which were thought to be deadly and can defend singapore fully but it did not

This source tells me that the lives of teengers as being saddened as they have to watch the british work in under such circumstances.
The evidence of the British as POW working under the japanese doing hard labour like farming.This implies that the british after defeated were forced to embarrass themselves by working hard labour under the japanese and they were thought to be superior but after locals look at the POW,they have many doubts of british as superior and they were saddened that the one who were defending their country is doing such humiliating work.
Change:The british are seem to be no longer superior as they become POW and forced to do hard labour work
