The first comprehension classroom activities I chose were both from Teacher pay Teachers. The first one was the same sound practice strips for beginning sounds. The Common core standards that were met were MN LA. RF.0.3.0.2, MN LA. RF.1.3.02 (Knight, 2018). The second activity is CVC sound boxes that allow the children to work on counting the number of syllables in the word while working on short or long vowel sounds. The following are the common core standards MN LA R. F. 0. 3. 0.1, MN LA R. F. 0. 3.0.1.b, MN LA. RF. 0.3.0.1.d, MN LA. RF. 0.3.0.1.a. A student of all ability levels and skill levels can do this activity. If a student needs extra time, that is not a problem. (Down in Kinderville, n.d.) The second activity is rhyming cards.
