Opportunities: lived near the beach
                          had many friends and played outdoors for most of the  year.

Kenya:  Challenge
              away from home, missed family and friends
             Opportunity
             met the Maasai nomads
saw the grasslands (savannah) for the first time went on safaris to see animals in their natural habitat (elephants, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, lions, baboons, and others)
