This group consists of weekly one-hour sessions on Tuesdays from 7 pm- 8 pm. This is a 12-week experience. This is a closed group with permanent members.

A history of trauma
A referral by an individual therapist
A high result on a trauma screening

Requirements:

Members must regularly attend to and maintain the group's ethical codes regarding privacy and confidentiality.

Stages of the Group

Stage 1: Beginning stage, establishing trust between group members, getting to know each other, building safety with the ground rules of the group
Stage 2: Middle stage, consists of sharing stories between group members, processing emotions in the group, skills building among leaders and members
Stage 3: End stage, an overview of the growth made by each member, preparing for the closure of the group, future plans of how to continue growing, and remain steady
