The Greensboro sit-ins allowed people of colour to be served at restaurants across the United States. The Greensboro four fought against the Woolworths restraint lunch counter's strict whites-only policy. Since the sit-ins were televised it allowed young people of colour to gain hope for change. Not only for equal rights but hope for equality in society. This was a significant change because people of colour were never allowed to sit down in diners, cafes, restraints etc.

The Ku Klux Klan shortened to KKK, is an American white supremacist hate group whose primary targets are African Americans and other minorities including people of colour, Muslims, Jewish people, and homosexuals.
The group gained its height of popularity in the 1950s and 1960s. People marched on the streets wearing white hooded attire to present their racist ideology. Members of the KKK could have been any white American, particularly Americans who were pro-segregation and for Jim crow laws. These Americans feared that they were losing their powerful position in society to people they saw as "inferior." And thought people of colour would take away their place in an all-white American society. The KKK's membership is in decline but still exists in the present day among 15 states with around 150,000 members in the USA.
