         <description><![CDATA[<div> x + (1/7) x = 19. Ahmes lo risolve in questo modo: 1- Adotta la falsa posizione 7, cioè x = 7, e ottiene 7 + (1/7) 7 = 8<br>Divide 19 per 8 ottenendo: 19/8 = 2 + 1/4 + 1/8 <br>Moltiplica 19/8 per 7, cioè: (2 + 1/4 + 1/8 ) · 7 = 16 + 1/2 + 1/8<br>In sintesi, Ahmes adotta la falsa posizione 7 e ottiene come risultato 8 invece di 19, poi applica la proporzionalità: 19 : 8 = x : 7 e trova x = 16 + 1/2 + 1/8 . </div>]]></description>
