Fear of letting go - there might be a stigma of being in a 6-subject class. Enlightenment takes time (e.g. recognising that student wellbeing is more important).

In fact, after COVID19, we have noticed a general dip in the levels of motivation in our students.

For students who are highly competitive and anxious, we note that they are usually perfectionists and cannot quite accept failure or consider less than perfect a failure. Notion of success is narrow.

2)

For some primary schools, students are streamed into classes of different abilities intended to support lower progress or stretch higher progress students. This causes anxiety amongst parents as the compare what class their child is in, which could be passed on to their children.

With both parents working, parents often try to make up for it by sending children for tuition, etc. Thus, giving children more stress.
