Police candidates started showing up to the application process with associates and bachelors degrees.&nbsp; Police departments around the country have been trying to reduce crime, fear, and disorder because they want people in that area to feel that the police are doing their job. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Rodney King Riots (1992)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The department changed in demographics after this case.  Before the riots about the Rodney King case, 60% of the LAPD was made up of white people.  The modern-day LAPD has way more diversity and is only 30%  white.   Body cameras were required for police officers to wear after the riots.  After the riots of the Rodney King case, the LAPD instituted discipline reports which created a database of information about the officers and supervisors to identify at-risk behavior.</div>]]></description>
