There had been raining cats and dogs for the past seven days. At it was the monsoon season, we thought it was a normal occurrence. However, the rain did not stop and soon, our neighborhood was flooded. 

  We totally caught by surprise. We desperately tried to salvage but the floodwater had risen too fast. Muddy water was flooding fast into our house, submerging all the furniture and electrical appliances such as standing fans, fridge, and even vehicles. 

 In less than 3 hours, the flood swept away everything in its path. Almost all the vehicles were half-submerged. Some residents climb to the rooftops and wait for the rescue. We also climbed to the rooftop. Later, we were taken by search and rescue staff to the food relief center. We had to stay for 5 days until the flood subsided.  

 It was terrifying which I will never forget. Further more, I and my parents tried to remain calm and directed us towards the stairs.I've never been in an earthquake before,so I have no idea of these work.I was kind of expecting chaos on the streets and a thousand people in the lobby. 

Finally,I was happy because it's never happen anything.

It was raining heavily about for a week in Malacca . The rain did not stop for a few week. My family and I were worried. 

       The next day , the flood water level was rising. A lot of rubbish and debris were floating in the flood. The residents decided to take action so they helped each other.
        
        My family and my next neighbours quickly place all their belongings on to safe ground. My father took all his important documents and laptop and put them into a waterproof bag to keep safe .

        Soon  the rescue team took us to flood relief home center. We must to stay there for a week until the flood subsided.
