Grave of the fireflies

This piece of work is created by Isao Takahata (co-founder of Studio Gibili).

The story is about Seita, a teenage boy, and his younger sister Setsuko living in Japan during the final years of World War II. with no relatives on their side, they are forced to survive by their own. Starting with the death of Seita, then continue the story with flip chip technique.

This story seems like what I would like to create in my animation. The feeling that communiate with the audiences are also as simular as the masterpiece "Grave of the fireflies".

Since I think “Grave of the fireflies” is similar to the animation that I am going to create, I searched for some comments on that animation.

I have found that many people feel heavy and they said that they had deep regret about the plot of the film. This is what I want to communicate with the audiences who see my work.
