A writing assingment like an essay can seem like a difficult task but is easier than you would expect if you break up the writing process. First brainstorm and organize your ideas. Laying out the foundation of your essay will be helpful when you go to actually write it. Next, form your rough draft, which does not have to be perfect. Edit you draft using the COPS method: capitalize, overall appearance, punctuation, and spelling. This will ensure you are catching all the possible mistakes in you essay. When you are finishing editing, rewrite for your final copy.
