This story is the perfect book for teachers to read to PK-2nd graders where these children are beginning to figure things out in life and how to do things by themselves which is the overall meaning of this book, the little critter tells us readers about what all he can do by myself which includes tying his shoes, riding his bike, etc. This is the most precious book to get young readers motivated to be more independent. This story is beneficial, sweet, and fun to read, along with a simple text complexity which is easy for most readers.

In this story, it revolves around a kind-hearted pig called Olivia who shows ways to be a good friend. She gives examples such as cooking with Francine and playing music with Julian that can be considered as being a good friend. This is the perfect book to put in a K-3 classroom which can be introduced when going over rules in the classroom. The text complexity is completely slightly complex due to little words on each page and the author sticks to one point.

The hilarious story where the little boy Duncan just wants to color but the crayons finally put their foot down. Duncan receives a bunch of letters from his every day crayons where they express their feelings. Duncan built ideas off of the crayons complaints and suggestions and made a beautiful piece of artwork. This book is great for a 2nd to 3rd grade reading level where it will expand the young readers imagination. The text complexity falls under mostly moderately with a few slightly The text falls under moderately due to the tone of the crayons.

This book is the perfect story that symoolizes the love between a grandmother and her grandchildren. It is a sweet rhyming story about how much fun the little boy has when visiting his grandmother. The boy and his grandma do many activities such as walking on the beach, waving at trains, and baking new foods. The author uses descriptive meanings which are slightly complex making it easy for young readers ages 3-5 to follow along.

If any young reader wants to use their imagination, this is a great book to do so. This story is about a train that breaks down before reaching the children and after asking several trains to help them, a little blue train was there to the rescue. This story is used to teach young readers to use their imagination, optimism, and hard work. I would use this book in a K-1 classroom during a lesson about creativity and hard work ethic. The text complexity is mostly slightly, but the language could fall under moderately due to some confusing vocabulary for a K-1st grade reading level.

This hip-pop book was illustrated to boost young readers alphabet knowledge. Starting from A and ending in Z it gives multiple popular hip-pop, rap, and R&B musicians names that start with the letters through out the alphabet. Not only is this book teaching the alphabet but also informing them on important musicians that they are not familiar with. The words are easy in this book but it can be confusing for readers who are not familiar or interested in R&B, rap, and hip-pop. I would read this aloud to my own children but not in a classroom full of diverse learners. I believe this book is appropriate for an "optional book" sitting on the book shelf.

This story is about a tiny white dog whose owner picks him out a halloween costume each year, unfortunately Tucker does not want to be a cowboy and instead wants to be scary. This resulted in Tucker wrapping himself up in toilet paper and pretend he is a mummy. I like this story because it kinda relates to real life situations where it teaches children to be who they want to be in life, whether it is halloween or day to day. The vocabulary is simple in this book, but it is important to be cautious when bringing a book like this in the classroom because not every student celebrates halloween. If it is used I would put it in a 1st-2nd grade classroom around the Halloween, if appropriate.

Mama Llama comforts baby llama that she is always near by and to never fear. What a way to comfort babies when they feel worried! This book is a K-4 reading level, but I would place it in a 3rd-to 4th grade classroom due to some rhyming words that may confuse younger readers when trying to understand the main theme of the story.

It is the cuddliest bed time story for little ones while also teaching them body parts such as eyes, arms, tummy, ears, knees. I love how they use different babies in this book making it relatable to a diverse group of babies. This is a great bed time story for 0-3 year olds. Not only does it give great descriptions but it teaches the days of the week and counting up to five. I love this book because not only is it informative but fun to read. It also has fun little tabs to pull open on some pages. This story is about a young boy named Max who is sent to bed without dinner, when Max falls asleep his whole room is turned upside down and transforms into a moonlit forest. This book is best used in a 4th-5th grade classroom due to the text complexity being mostly moderately. The story can often be confusing as you have to use your imagination to follow along with the author. The vocabulary can also be difficult such as "gnash" which means rubbing your teeth together. Many readers would just say "grinding". I feel this book needs to be introduced before read-aloud.

This story includes the reader on not letting the pigeon drive the bus. It is about a bus driver who has to leave so he asks the reader to not allow the pigeon drive the bus. How fun! The pigeon tries many excuses and sneaky ways to get around this to trick readers into letting it drive the bus. The text complexity is simple, but the pictures can often throw a reader off because a young reader may not know exactly what is going on in the picture. It is about a young girl named Tanisha who spills a drink on her shirt, her classmate wonders how to make the girl feel better because she knows she is embarrassed by her classmates laughing. Her classmate does several nice gestures to show her she is her friend. The narrator gives several visual reminders on how to be thoughtful, kind, and a good friend which is what every individual needs to hear. I would recommend this book to a 1st-3rd grade student due to the simple word and illustration use but also would recommend to anyone because being the importance of being kind needs to be reminded often, no matter the age.

Usually when it gets warm, the snow melts but in this story this lucky snowball gets to stay revenant during every season and even meet new friends along the way. The little boy Izzy finds this snowball as him and his dog are playing in the snow. He names the snowball Larry and puts him in his freezer for "safe keeping" so the snowball does not melt. I think this is the cutest story and can often give young readers new fun ideas for when it snows. This is a fun read-aloud for children to read along with the popular saying "Help! I'm melting!"

This story is the perfect book for a fun lesson plan involving trees. The story revolves around a sugar maple tree and the child who planted it. My favorite thing about this book is the variety of materials the author uses to describe and illustrate the story. I would recommend this book in a K-3 reading level where students can elaborate on what stye read about and do fun activities that contribute to the story. For example, I would ask them to describe/draw their favorite tree. I would use materials that author Lois Ehlert used in her book as well.
