Nice confident voice. Clear.

You are clearly in control. The students do as you ask.

Clear explanation. Appropriate use of metalanguage for context.

Good praise. More enthusiasm? More specific praise?

More error correction with Ah he len (some good recast; vary the techniques) – Show it as three syllables. Be ruthless.

Good individual drilling. You break it down well. Good use of minimal pairs

Nice pairwork. You join in to make a pair.

Very good elicitation of meaning.

Very professional looking slides. Clear materials.

You empathise with a student over the difficulties.

You nominate well, providing equal attention to all.

Ask students to note language down?

You set up some interactive pairwork/role-play, eliciting the language to be used to check beforehand very well. You switch slides well to support students.

You joke, adding to the very good rapport.

Nice right/wrong activity with Yes/no slide.

Louis was always incredibly clear and concise in his delivery aside from rare drops in internet connection/technical issues outside of his control. He maintained a strong rapport with the learners, making the lesson enjoyable for all. He gave good praise and good error correction. He mentioned how he made a minor error in his lesson plan leading to the final task to be a repeat of the previous task, however I felt that the first task could’ve been perceived as a speaking task, and the second as a reading task.

As with Louis’ lesson, Lea was always perfectly clear and concise in her instructions. The lesson did go on for longer than planned, though this was due to technical issues beyond her control. Her correction was a particular standout for me, I thought her correction of pronunciation was particularly excellent. I enjoyed that she gave the learners a wide array of hobbies to speak about, though I wonder if some learners may be put off by the amount of vocabulary

The lesson was very well planned and confidently given! The use of the powerpoint was very helpful for the students, signalling the different gender markers in the language by using pictures and examples.

A good amount of TTT vs STT which made the students feel involved and not overwhelmed by information.

Mayb more specific praise or error correction could be used, however it is difficult to switch to 'teacher mode' straight away.

Really fun lesson.
