This usually occurs when the knee is bent and the patella is hit.
-Patellae Bursitis is the bursa in front of the patella which becomes irritated and produces to much fluid, which causes it to swell and put pressure on the adjacent part of the knee.
-Patella Alta and other Dysfunction is a condition where patients are born with their knee cap seated way to high. What position they were in while performing in there game. For example if I were treating a baseball player and he injured his shoulder it would mostly likely be because of an overhead or the pitcher throwing a fast ball. Depending on how severe the injury was depends on how it happens.
