         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the Red scare America Targeted all people who were tied to being german an any sort of way and they were fingerprinted and treated horrible. Teachers made kids show signs that said germans were bad and the president eventually issued a decree for nothing german to be in the United states so now germans were banned from doing or seeing anything that had to do with Germany.</div>]]></description>

They kept track of political movements. Jay Edgar Hoover lead this division. Several hundred arrests were given to a large organization of Russian Workers. They brought 249 detainees back to Russia. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On September 16th 1920 the  stock market was down but there was optimism that it would go back up, At the the morgan bank a banker was talker to a top mine owner and then a big blast hit wall street with a big gust hit many buildings causing many and large fires. Many people died and most were under the age of 30 who made their life being traders.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On June 15 1917 the congress signed the the Espionage act.The Espionage act punished people who they thought were going against America and helping the germans. The people who the U.S government thought were helping the Germans were put in jail. One of those people was Eugene Debs. Eugene opposed the U.S going into the war and didn't mind getting in trouble for speaking his mind so he did it over and over again and was later arrested. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Two Italian anarchists who got arrested after the bombing for Robbery and Murder a week before. They met at a growing labor movement and turned to the most radical of political beliefs. Vansetti lived homeless and worked harshly. They stood trial in 1921 for the murders but it was really about the anarchy. They sat in a cage and were painted to be dangerous. They both received the death sentence in 1927. Protests ensued around the world. They both were executed by way of electrocution.</div>]]></description>
