The people who the U.S government thought were helping the Germans were put in jail. One of those people was Eugene Debs. They met at a growing labor movement and turned to the most radical of political beliefs. Vansetti lived homeless and worked harshly. They stood trial in 1921 for the murders but it was really about the anarchy. They sat in a cage and were painted to be dangerous. They both received the death sentence in 1927.
