We learned about the use of adjectives to qualify subjects, which are useful for describing them in different ways: qualifying, specifying, comparing, and providing descriptive precision. In this session, we worked with adjectives related to the different Colombian ecosystems, which is the topic of this first part of the unit. We worked on a descriptive text about the Quindío wax palm, from which a presentation was created based on the information provided. In my case, I made a PowerPoint presentation.

In the first part of the session, we shared and discussed the work of some classmates. Then, we went on to read Proyecto Tití: Cotton-top Tamarin Conservation Program, analyzing the main and secondary ideas, as well as identifying the connectors in the text and learning about their uses. We also learned the difference between a fact and an opinion, in order to continue strengthening our skills in the construction and interpretation of texts.

In this session, the teacher explained how to carry out and submit the assigned activity. In this case, we had to create a game based on a reading, and she showed us a virtual platform where games can be designed. It is very easy to use and quite interactive, making it a great learning tool. In my case, I created a crossword puzzle, and it was quite simple and easy to design.

This week we didn't have virtual classes because the teacher gave us more time to submit our portfolios. So I used that time to review some very basic English lessons, such as the time in English.

This class we shared the games we had to play, we saw several crossword puzzles that helped me a lot to review the last topic we saw in unit 1, I remembered the function of adjectives (qualifying the noun) and I learned a lot of new adjectives!

In this class we talk a lot about the important role that the health of the body plays in the health of the mind, it is very important to exercise, eat healthy, drink water and all healthy activities to maintain a good balance in body and mind.

We looked at two classmates' mind maps. We read the text from the third forum of Task A. The main idea was to identify referring words and connectors. Reference words are used to refer to something that has already been mentioned so it doesn't have to be mentioned again, and connectors are used to generate a relationship between several ideas. Finally, we looked at examples of text types: addition, contrast, and concession.

This week I overheard a conversation about artificial intelligence on the street, and I wanted to share my perspective here.

In my opinion, artificial intelligence is not bad. It can help people to save time and solve problems, but humans must always control how it is used. The future of work will depend on how we combine human intelligence with technology.
