a skill is something that you learn to do over a period of time. during education u will develop new skills for different things.
a quality is something your born with, it is something that will improve as you get older.

qualities include confidence which is very important because you need a leader who everyone looks up to. you need to be confidence in your judgement and decision making.
responsible- if you are responsible people will trust you and will do what you say. in desperate situations like Grenfell its important for team leaders to have the trust of your crew when telling them to complete a task.
calm- its important to stay calm in tricky situations because if your calm you are focused. its important for the firefighters to be calm in that situation because if they started panicking that would make the public less confident in helping rescuing people from the fire.
logical- it means you are fast thinking, like the firefighters at Grenfell when they evacuated everyone form the 12th floor and below because fire was above these floors.

there are specialist skills involved and one of them was hazard material, the firefighters were specialised in removing all this material that will cause disruptions when looking to rescue people from Grenfell.
they are also specialised at using high ropes, to access floors that are not accessible, this helped in rescuing people who may otherwise not have been rescued.

technical skills involved were the search and rescue skills where they helped rescue 65 people.
they also knew about which areas of the building were accessible due to the construction of it as some parts were accessible and some were not, these skills are important as they could get injured when looking to rescue people.

the results of good command and control will motivate team members as it will develop trust and in the public services it allows people to be responsible.
it builds loyalty as team members become faithful to their task this is important in high pressure situations.
