Veronica Roth's most celebrated novel is set in a dystopian Chicago. The society of Beatrice Prior is split into five groups: Erudite (the intelligent), Dauntless (the brave), Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), and Amity (the peaceful). Beatrice is forced to decide between switching factions and remaining with her Abnegation family. In the ensuing fiercely competitive initiation, Upon entering the Dauntless group, Beatrice changes her name to Tris and battles with her other initiates to fulfill their decision. Together, they must endure rigorous endurance exercises and mental simulations, some of which have disastrous outcomes.

LINK TO AMAZON ORDER:

https://www.amazon.com/Divergent-Veronica-Roth/dp/0062387243/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2LIGLPZXJ5KF8&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.o_8SkRGh17Fikfrkpsivzb8i1YAIhp9aTq8npLeq1ccWS8SyoNS5LeutRXxrxBktryFQC6d2cUVfIj2eNBV32xFHbZ49obmqP2joFJjPAwuvCv7JcCYLnB6osccZyAqVFMoOIF9PFsLzUnZqMUce3OtEl3zubncnLoVQu21BqWdUHCcnKYTyXqkuJz0-QqcFUCPRngPdFub3DoMet6MMKXdTAujNZNyQFICsUgHK8gI.39Il_PMtCSA2NxPQLDl0yvXD7SmqTYWDj5Mc6PjGKk4&dib_tag=se&keywords=divergent+book+1&qid=1733883112&s=books&sprefix=divergent%2Cstripbooks%2C164&sr=1-1
