Nowadays, every person are busy with their work. Most of them try to save their time depend on the new technology such as mobile phone, smart card. By creating an efficient payment system will help the user save more time in their life. Based on the scenario stated, we had come out with a few of solutions to improve the payment system that we are having right now.

The main objective of this project is to find out the problem that we faced in our daily life and solve using the IT technology. Hence the best way to solve this problem is using a RFID smart card. It becomes very important to solve the problem of wasting time in our daily life. This card exists a chip which is able to save customer’s information, at the same time, we can also enhance the security by applying thumbprint technology on this card. This means that besides the owner, others cannot use the smart card. If the wrong fingerprint is used to function this card more than 3 times, the card will loses its function and the police centre will receive the information about who are trying to use other’s card according to the fingerprint.

Furthermore, we can partner with other companies such as bank, airport, Watson, 7-eleven, or link to the whole world. This means that all people do not need to bring a lot of money. This can help to reduce the traffic jam around the bank, so the percentage of accident will decrease and reduce the personal safety problem. This can reduce the problem of break time. All the worker line-up at the food court to buy their food and pay for it. If using smart card to pay for it, we can just take the food, scan the card to eat. There will be no more exchanging of money, because this will cause us to waste a lot of time on waiting the cashier to return the exchange notes.

                In order to implement this new concept, we need to have some promotion or offer to the user so that it can attract more people to use our system. For example, we can give card points to the customer when they spend money by using the card. When the points achieve at a certain level, customer can get a special price to buy food such as MCD or something else.

Nowadays, the education level of the UNIMAS is good and high employment probability, this attracting many local and overseas students come here to future study. This was result in the number of students surge. This cause our student pavilion ineffective at the lunch time, the cashier need spent time to calculate the food price for them. This cause student need to line up for a long time to carry out payment and the problem which faced by those food stall’s owners are not enough of small change and somehow they will count wrongly on the money when they return the change to their customers. Based on the scenario stated, we had come out with a few of solutions to improve the payment by system that we are having right now. 

The main objective of this project is to solve the problem that we faced in UNIMAS by using IT technology. After discussion we found that the best way to solve this problem are adding a One Touch Payment System and implement it in the student pavilion and  improve the function for our matrix card to combine this idea. Our student card have barcode which had save the student information. Hence, we can adding recharge function in matrix card. This meant student can just purchase for the food and drinks after choose, this payment will automatic minus from the matrix card. This help 

However, we may face problem when insufficient balance of money inside the matrix card. So we need have a system which are able to send notification to our smart phone when the credit touch to the limit balance. This help to prevent not enough money to pay. At the same time we can also build up a reload machine around the student pavilion so that student can reload money by themselves. Why we need to have reload machine. This is because human are not possible work for 24 hour, this can reduce the manpower needs.

Furthermore, we can also partner with the company vending machine. Student can just scan and buy their drink through vending machine. This situation can say kill two bird with one stone. For the company, they no need worry about the fake money and the problem stuck of money inside the machine. For student, we know that some of the vending machine just accept RM1. Sometime, student no have RM1 to pay for it and select to other, this will cause the company lost profit too, so we can try to get the sponsor from the company vending machine.

Besides that, with the development of technology the area need for money increase. This cause theft money happen in UNIMAS area. By using the concept I mention above can help reduce the money with student, this help student more safety. By the way, the matrix card has its barcode and photo on the card to avoid other people to misuse it or who use other card to buy thing. Every time student purchase to buy something the system will record, so CCTV will help to catch who try to using other card too. By this system student UNIMAS will become more responsible to their own item, and reduce the problem missing matrix card by student.

             Finally, as a FIT student we must always have the idea of innovation and improvement of the living environment through IT. Be the first University increase the function of the matrix card on the payment field will improve reputation and toward the vision of UNIMAS.
