I really loved the stress and intonation activity. I would start by giving them a few examples (like: don't drink, honey. Vs. Don't drink honey! ; Let's eat, grandma! Vs. "Let's eat grandma!).

Then I would ask them to make their own double meaning sentences (strong G10 class).

The final task would be to record a short role play on Tik-Tok to show the 2 different meanings, or to present it in front of the class as short role-plays if they are too shy to record themselves or embarrassed that it would appear on their Tik-Tok.

Cards or talking cards are a great way to refresh their speaking skills and practice using the different grammar types.

The students sit in a circle and hold up both hand showing 10 fingers. The first student announces something they’ve never done by saying “I have never....” and then announces something outrageous they haven’t done. The student should aim for something that most likely the other sudents have done.

Every student who has done what the first student said must put one finger down The students who also haven’t done it should keep all of their fingers up.

The game continues with each student announcing "I have never..."
The last person who has fingers up wins the game.

Escape From Bullying Poem

I cry myself to sleep at night
Just wishing it would stop.
Maybe tomorrow it will cease.
Then again, maybe not
