Every country has something traditional and unique: it could be from nature to architectural monument. Unfortunately, improper and mass travelling maximise chances to destroy heritage, but responsible tourism can help to save it. For example, people drinking from reusable water bottle and not from plastic one while they are travelling in different destinations could help reduce increase of environmental pollution, because they don't litter. Every agency strives to make tourists happy so that they do not  have bad reviews about the city that would hurt?? their income, but tourists also help us preserve cultural heritage and traditional values by creating a meaningful relationship between tourists and locals. They support social and cultural diversity. So I could say that the purpose of a tourist trip is to lift people out from poverty  and uphold those traditions and in this way to aid local people.

However, there are several basic socio-cultural and economic principles of responsible travel. Firs of all - respect the country you are visiting, its culture and its people. Taking an interest in the specifics of the country you are visiting in advance will not get you into unpleasant situation, but it will not ruin the trip for us or the people who host us. 
Also travel by local transport as much as possible. When travelling by local trains or buses, you will see people in everyday environments, get to know their customs. 
Another piece of advince - buy concrete, food and souvenirs directly from local people. This will support the locals and help preserve the local crafts. 
In summary, I can say, that responsible tourism creates economic benefits for locals.

Topic: To what extent do you agree/disagree that responsible tourism helps local people.

I believe that responsible tourism is useful for the local people, because tourists bring money to the country itself and new job opportunities for people living there. That money earned from tourism is being used for greater things like creating a better, newer, cleaner environment.

One of the aspects of why responsible tourism has positive benefits for the people living there is that pursuing responsible tourism helps provide employment opportunities for the population. It makes life easier for unemployed people.

Responsible tourism minimizes negative environmental, social and economic impacts. Generates greater economic benefits for local people and enhances the well-being of host communities, improves working conditions and access to the industry.
