Stay on your broomsticks. In Quidditch, you must hold your broomsticks between your legs at all times with one hand on the broomstick. Every player should have a broomstick they stay on at all times.[1]

Use four balls. In Quidditch, you need four balls to play. There is one volleyball, known as the quaffle. There are two dodgeballs, known as the bludgers. There is one small ball, such as a tennis ball, that is strapped to one player. This is the snitch.[2]

Earn how to score points. Players attempt to get the quaffle (volleyball) through the hoops on the ends of the field. Getting a quaffle through a hoop means 10 points are scored for that team. The only other way to score points is to catch the snitch by grabbing the ball attached to the player carrying it. The team that catches the snitch gets 30 points.[3]

Learn how the bludgers work. Players on opposing teams throw bludgers at one another. If someone is hit by a bludger, they must dismount their broomstick and tag one of the hoops on the end of the field before they can return to the game.[4]

Alex Benepe, from New York Manhattan, was 22 at the time that he and Xander had met and greeted each other. They both seemed to have a love for the Harry Potter series, both the books and movies. Alex was a distance runner in high school and went on to run at Middlebury College, where he felt that college sports was way too time consuming. He didn't have any time to be creative so he decided to stop running for the Middlebury College and instead use his creativity to incorporate sports into his creative ideas. Muggle Quidditch was born!
