They warned the kids not to drink but did not stop them when they did. Daniel, a boy at the party, began to drink and eventually became drunk. Later on he left the party got in his car and started driving. Since he was drunk he ended up hitting a tree and is now dead.

Causation : Proximate Cause -They told their son there wasn't allowed to be alcohol at the party. Cause in fact - if he didn't drink then he wouldn't have crashed into the tree.

Damages : Daniel Bell died.
