I am married with 5 kids, 3 grandkids + 1 more on the way. All the kids are young adults starting their lives and I decided I must have been bored to go back to school in my mid forties. Hahaha.

Hi everyone! My name is Tim and I am a Business Management major at GTC. I graduated HS a long time ago in 1987, so I'm most likely the "crusty" one of the class. I decided to return to school 2 years ago and get that degree that eluded me all those years ago. It has been a wonderful and rewarding journey so far and I'm nearing the end. I work a full time job as a financial advocate while taking online courses. Some of my hobbies include dancing, working out, and doing any activity outdoors with my family. Wow! I have never had a class with several others sharing the same name. :)

My name is Samantha, (I go by Sam) and I am a 41-year-old mother, wife, sister, friend and full-time college student. I am full-time at Gateway Technical College entering my 4^th semester in Business Management and Marketing programs. If all goes well, I should graduate from both programs in December 2026. 😊

I currently am not employed. I chose to quit working two years ago with the support of my husband and family to pursue an education. I am full time in two programs and have three children who keep me quite busy. I left my “career” after 18 years in hospitality and 4 years in real estate to pursue a lifelong dream, that I never had the opportunity to attain- an education!

After I complete these programs, my plan is to find employment. With that employment, I am hoping to find a hybrid or flexible model that will allow me time to continue my studies to attain bachelor's degree in both Business & Marketing from Carthage or Parkside.

I also am an avid landscaper and gardener. I typically spend from late March to October gardening everything from seed to harvest! One day I will hope to have more gardens then my hands and heart can handle. :) I look forward to working with you all this semester.

Hello!! I'm steve, i have been a student at gateway since the fall of '25. I am currently in the supply chain management program which, barring issues, i will graduate in the spring of '27. My long term goal is to get another associates in Data Analytics (since supply chain heavily relies on data) and then moving on to get my Bachelors in Supply Chain or some kind of logistics degree ( or multiple, never know). I currently work as a manager at Amazon. I have worked there for almost 6 years (june actually makes 6 years). I started there as a seasonal and worked my way up. It was originally supposed to be a summer job that turned long term. Something fun about me is i have three cats!! 2 boys butters and reese and a girl cat named raven!
