This is my first entry on this Padlet. I decided that I wanted to talk about my journey to be more sustainable, because it is something that I wanted to do for a long time, so I think it's an opportunity because there will be more sources to search in English since I have to do it for my english classes. 
Also, I hope this entries help not just my fellows in this classes but also everyone who decides to start this journey with me.

I'm going to talk about the Netflix Series "Our Planet". These showcases the world's nature wonders, iconic species and widlife spectacles that still remain. They collabore with WWF, a worldwide organization dedicated to the nature conservation.

The series have eight chapters, and each one talks about a part of the world specifically. In this entry I will talk about three of them, and I'm going to write the thing I found more interesting of each chapter.

In the chapter about the Frozen Worlds, I learned that the walruses are starting to climb rocks since there is no ice for them anymore to climb, and they just jump and die because of this. They also show how today there is a 40% less sea ice cover than there was in 1980, and that the Arctic is warming twice as fast as anywhere else on Earth, and this is affecting a lot of animals like polar bears, walruses, penguins... They say that in 2040 there is no gonna be any ice on summer months.

The chapter Jungles talk about the diversity of life that they have, but due to deforestation, they're disappering faster than anywhere on earth. In this episode they show New Guinea's jungle, which have a lot of species that cannot be found anywhere else on the Earth. There is a bird who has tails ornaments, and they look like wires!!!!! I think it's amazing how bizarre the animals became there.

Coastal Seas talks about how jellyfish are starting to become a problem, since humans are fishing every fish on the sea and they are starting to be a plague, since they provide very little sustenance for other wildlife or us. They also show Misool, one of the few places on Earth where biodiversity is actually increasing, since in 2007 they implemented a law of protection of the seas.

So, after watching these episodes, I just started to reflexionate a lot about how us, the humans, are just destroying every part of the world even if we're not living there, and how the animals are dying because of us. The story of Misool also showed me how fast the nature can recover if we just treate her how she deserves. I'm excited to watch the other episodes and talk to you of what I learned from them.
