Therefore, my parents and her parents sat down and discussed whether or not to put him in a nursing home or have him flown out to Ohio to be taken care of by his daughter. This was an example of collaborative decision making because it involved “many members” such as my parents and my friend’s parents (6). Furthermore, it involved “ many views and many approaches” because each adult discussed the pros and cons to the problems (6). Looking back I believe that the decision was a good choice. They get to spend as much time with their grandfather before his conditions get worse, even if they are struggling from keeping him out of trouble.
