I started playing my sophomore year when the sport was first being offered at my school. After buying my stick, I fell in love with lacrosse. At the end of my team's first season we were 8-7, I was given offensive MVP for leading the team with 68 goals and 65% goal to shot ratio. Now half way through my second season, I lead my undefeated team as captain and most goals. During my freshman, I was able to be on the team with my older brother Jake Flath, who is now playing and going into his junior year at Chapman University. The following year, my sophomore year, the team had finally won a Divison 7 CIF title and ring. The people that have inspired me to be on this path are the members in my family especially my brother and my aunt. My grandfather's sister (my aunt) had a sudden stroke around the age of 30 and was left paralyzed, later dying of heart failure around 50 years old. My brother was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of 17 and it has be a road blocker for him. This people fought and fight with what they are given everyday and have never given gave up. I have always wanted to help them in someway but I never could. But as a doctor or a surgeon I hope to strive help others like them. In the future, I also hope I can serve my country for keeping the land I live on safe just like my grandfathers and great-grandfathers.
