3 facts about the era: The 1890s found some pushback such as the anti- Sherman Trust. Beef Boners rarely had actual thumbs and The Jungle was a book that revealed working conditions. Prohibition happened during the Progressive Era. 2 things I learned: The robber barons thrived in that time because of the lack of laws. Many unions popped up and tried to recruit workers to join their cause. 1 question I have: Why didn't the government institute more laws in the first place to protect the safety and health of their workers?

3 facts: 1: The progressive party had to deal with civil unrest by sometimes restricting freedoms of the protestors.
2: Two of the largest causes of this were working conditions and trusts.
3: Most of the working class took very dangerous jobs that did a lot of damage to the workers.
2 things I learned: 1:The era was ruled by big business owners that only cared about profit and not about their workers.
2: The era was only profitable for certain people but generally not to the working class, but they couldn't do anything to change it.
One question: What happened to workers who went on strike?

They also still had child labor where thousands of children under the age of 15 were working for a very little wage in factories. And the anit Sherman trust.
2 things I learned would be that the working conditions went noticed by the public until reviled by a reporter. I also learned that the public did not nessacairlly know about the child labor happening in factories. I still wonder if the kids ever realized they were being put through labor for very little in return.
Harper O
