The Federal government should hold most of the power because without a strong central government, the United States is no longer united. Instead, we are separate states connected by the fact that we don't have a central government. The central government protects all the states with the tax money that is collected. What shoud be the role of citizens in creating public policy? Public policy should reflect the opinion of vote. I would mostly agree with this because in most situatutions the people need to be abill to vote for something they agree or disagree with like laws that are passed by are goverment should be voted on by the people of the states because some of the laws they make states completely disagree with. Now I can see why you would have repersentives because your state voted for that repersentive now if they start making bad discions them the goverment can charge them so I could see using repersentive but in some cases I would agree with having the people vote for public policy

The Federal Government's powers over taxation as well as international and interstate trade.
60% of Americans believe the federal government has too much power over taxation. Congress is currently considering a bill that will put a sales tax on online purchases which will dramatically hurt businesses. The Federal Government needs to slow down on all these taxes as some of the tax collecting services are starting to abuse customers.
