"Throne Of Glass"Book 1 - Sarah J. Maas - 404 Pages- November 11 2017

"The beginnings of something great" is all the words anyone can put into one sentence for a book series start up such as this. 404 pages later into this book and you are in love with the world of the young Celaena Sardothien, an assassin from this fantasy world you are introduced to. In this world, there are so many questions that allow readers to get fully tied to the book. As you follow Celaena through her world you discover information about the crisis of The King of Ardalan, the ruler who has tormented and captured endless amounts and people who are defenseless, especially after he somehow made magic disappear. In attempts to have her freedom, Celaena must become the King's champion in a Hunger Games kind of settings. As you travel through the book you find that Celaena had no idea what responsibilities for her lie ahead. I recommend this book and the full series to those who love fantasy and strong female characters!

"Throne Of Glass" Book 3 Heir of Fire- Sarah J. Maas - 592 Pgs- November 24 2017

As you continue through love in loss through the previous book, readers are left to wonder what Celeana Sardothien will do next. As you travel through Heir of Fire we find exactly that. Chaol, Celaeana's ex lover sends her away in an attempt to save her from the King for her recently discovered identity. She goes on a journey to a land that still has magic and there we learn about the world of the magical Fae and Demi Fae creatures. As Celeana attempts to get to speak to her Grandmother Maeve, Queen of the Fae, she must spend months or years to train her new found power, with a Fae creature by the name of Rowan. As we continue we can only think what will happen to Celeana Sardothien, if that's even her name anymore. This book was a little harder to read with the changing perspectives, but also very full filling. The next few books are much longer and the fourth book is a bit boring with all the explaining, but this book is a great seg-way, and my personal favorite of the series. I enjoyed this book and the series extensively, Im a sucker for all fantasy books, and I recommend this book and the whole series to those who love an action packed fantasy story with plenty of romantic tangles!

A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) is a chilling story following our mortal character Feyruh. In this world that Feyruh dwells in, the Faeries are the dominant species, while mortals are cast aside by a magical barrier separating them. With hate in her heart and the recent loss of fortune in her family, Feyruh hunts for her families survival. But what promises can she keep when she kills what seems to be a wolf in the woods, and is demanded to serve retribution.
This story is another amazing creation of Sarah J. Maas. It is a series, of which is continuing, but its never boring and is not suspensefully long.I fell in love with the story by the first five chapters. I recommend this book to all fantasy lovers alike, as Maas will not let you down in satisfying your hunger for complex fantasy worlds.

"Carrie" is a horrifically chilling and wondrous fantasy story, one of Stephen King's shorter writings, but he does not hold back with the detail work that makes "Carrie" such a unique book. Carrie, our main character is severely mistreated by her high school community, going so far as to bully her into an even weaker mental state, one that was already weak from her abusive relationship with her mother. Stephen King, as always, gives us an emotionally grueling journey through "Carrie", when our main character discovers her telekinetic abilities. With her newfound power, how will Carrie seek revenge for her treatment?
I recommend this book to anyone, like me, who loves a good horror story that meddles with the ideas of our common day society, and specifically to "Carrie", the balance that comes back around to those who have wronged others.

What is seemingly a book describing a horribly abused wife's journey of escape, turns into an incredible fantasy story of great redemption for our main character, Rose Daniels. After 14 years of gruesome abuse, Rose finds a spot of blood on her sheets, blood from her bloody nose her short-fused husband Norman had given her the night before, and that spot of blood and the pure resentment of knowing shell have to rewash the sheets gives her a reason to escape. With no true real-world experience, we follow Rose in her Journey to freedom, and her eventual encounter with a "magical painting" that will eventually give her the power to save herself from her now ex-husband, who of which is now on the hunt to retrieve what he believes is his.
Rose Madder is a work of art, I recommend it to anyone with a slightly stronger stomach, a love for redemption, and revenge.

A look into "Everything Everything" shows us the peculiar world of Madeline, a 17-year-old girl that suffers from SCID, a rare disease that keeps her under house arrest. In basic speaking, Madeline is allergic to the world. But when the broken family next door moves in, Madeline cannot help but be intrigued with the pale figure in all black. This story of love, loss, and twists is truly a joy to read through, I personally love to keep an interesting love story in the mix, and definitely recommend "Everything Everything" to anyone looking for something to satisfy that part of their reading journey. Though a more simple read, "Everything Everything" is something you should definitely not pass up.
