  • Clear categories for evaluation (with operational definitions)

  • Clear criteria for levels of success within each category (Not in question forms)

    • Make sure each criteria is distinct

    • You may choose to have multiple parts to your rubric (e.g. some criteria tables, some open ended items etc.)
