Bus workers went on strike due to poor working conditions and low pay. Chinese middle school students supported them. The protest turned violent, with buses set on fire and clashes with the police.                                                         Who were involved in the riot?                                                    -Hock Lee Bus Company workers</p><p>-Chinese middle school students</p><p>-British colonial police</p><p>-Communist sympathisers                                                             When did the riot happened?                                                        - the date was 12 may 1955                                                        Where did the riot occur?                                                             -Mainly along Alexandra Road in Singapore, near the Hock Lee Bus Depot                                                                               Why did the riot start?                                                                     -Workers were unhappy with long hours, low pay, and poor treatment, and when the bus company refused to let them form a union, students joined the protest as they also felt oppressed by the British government and education system.                                                                                                 What were people's emotions during the riot?                          -People felt angry about unfair treatment, scared of the violence, sad over the deaths, and frustrated that the colonial government wasn’t listening.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>During the riot on 1954, people showed how unhappy they were and about 500 students started the riot about their studies being disrupted again after the Japanese Occupation. </p><p><br></p><p>During the riot, the British sent out the police force armed with batons and shields. This riot started on 13 May 1954 and the riot was started because of the British's discrimination for the Chinese students. the students felt felt anger because of the discrimination for the Chinese students and about their studies getting disrupted.   </p>]]></description>

When did</p><p><br/></p><p>during 1950 11december,a large crowd of malay-muslim had gathered at the supreme court to see whether the court will give the custody of maria to the dutch catholic parents or her malay-muslim caretaker.When the court ruling was announced a large crowd gathered and maria was taken to catholic convent the crowd became angry and emotional then a riot broke out quckily,people started attacking Europeans,Eurasians and even police officers.Shops were luted,cars were burnt and people were beaten in the streets.The riot spreaded across Kampong Glam,The court areas,Arab street and North bridge road.British troupes and police were called in to control the riot.there were many casualties and damages,18 people were killed,173 were injured and over 100 vehicles were damaged.Many buildings were destroyed or vandalized.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>On October 1956, there was a riot that happened in Singapore's Chinese school due to the government's actions to crack down a communist activites.</p><p><br/></p><p>Thousand of students protested by threatening sit ins and taking over the school which led to the police coming whom also attacked by the students, which led to in spreading through the roadsides.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Due to the riot it resulted in 13 deaths and over a 100 injuries alongside with damage to property, including vehicles and buildings.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
