He also told about life in a refugee camp.
I have never seen anything like this! I was most impressed by how such an important global issue was transformed into a graphic novel for younger readers to understand. Truly brings awareness in an honest and simple way.

Audience:
This is for ages 10-14 or grades 6-9.
Due to the graphic nature and sensitive topics in the book and the illustrations, it is not recommended for younger grades. I would say it is at the discretion of the parent.

Teaching Point:
This would be great to have in a middle school classroom library. When covering units of conflicts in Africa, this graphic novel can be used to show a first person POV. It's quite genius.
