Dr. Amar Bose a sound engineer and MIT professor was annoyed that he couldn't listen to music with the constant noise inside an airplane.

He began drawing plans to see if he could invent noise cancelling headphones.

Once back home, he formed the Noise Reduction Technology Group to work on this situation.
