I believe in forgiveness and that everyone has kindness within themselves even if it takes an effort to show it. Someone who has closed their heart because of a negative experience in their life needs to learn how to forgive. Repeating prayers from the bible helps with understanding difficult times and how to navigate through life in a more positive way. The “I father prayer” that we repeat everyday in school helps us to not do to others what they have done to us and to forgive them of their trespasses so that we may not trespass against them. This is a great example of both forgiveness and learning about kindness.

I will change the way that I communicate so that I am a more effective communicator. I will focus on listening to the messages I receive from people who are trying to engage with me and be more patient to receive the message. I will change the way I see and interpret the things around me. For example, I will change the way that I read and instead of jumping to what I believe the conclusion may be I will take the time to focus on what the meaning truly is. Jesus used many stories in order for his disciples to receive his messages. The bible has many parables to help guide me in this journey.

I will volunteer more often at my church so that I may be learning more examples of how to make better choices for myself through the teachings of Jesus. I can in turn by participating teach the younger children what I have learned by using humbleness, patience and kindness.

To respect human nature and dignity I need to stay positive rather than negative and judgemental. Taking a step back and trying to respect someone else's way of being can be difficult if it is not familiar. I need to remember to ask questions in a respectful way from the mindset of interest and humility rather than the conversation seeming like a persecution.
