exercises that associate with daily life are effective.
For example, using fruit to demonstrate the concept of mathematics.
Step 1: count the number of different fruit
Step 2: set a cost to each kind of fruit and give them certain amount of money. Children decide to spend the money and buy the fruit by themselves
The activity act as a real-life experience for the children to link up with mathematics concept eg. counting skill, addition and subtraction and other mathematical relational skills.

Step by step education:
1. Teach them the concept of numbers
materials used/activity suggest:
a. Number card
We can use some colourful number card with some attractive picture to help student to get the concept of number)
b. Learing by singing
We can design some special song with the numbers. It is very useful to help student to remember the number with the wonderful melody. Moreover, a song is helpful for recalling memories of a child.

2. Use different activities to help them prictice
a. Finger counting (symobllic method is helpful for them to get the idea of numbers)
b. Toys counting (Most children are interested on playing toys. Thus, toys can be authentic means to attract them. To help them, we can place the toys on the floor and count them with number.)‘0

take counting as an example

counting quantities kind of activities
examples: providing numerous pictures or even real stuff for younger children to count.
the activities is effective for children to enhance the ability of counting. therefore, children could have the basic concept of numbers and counting. this helps build a foundation for further math. learning.

for older children, we could consolidate and enhance the concept/ability of number/counting skills. we could time the children while they are counting. it gives a little bit of pressure on the children in order to boost their performance.

To enhance the mathematical relational skills, teachers can use object study, such as using balls for students to do the counting.
Also, teachers can design some role-play games for students to participate. For instance, teachers can create a tiny super-market. Students can act as customers and staff, through buying and paying different products, students need to do counting whether they have enough money to purchase those products.
