The more opaque an object is the whiter is shows up on the paper after processing. To process these quickly instead of waiting for weeks for the paper to burn(darken), we use chemical baths known as speed, stop and fix. After spending the right amount of time in each bath, the piece is placed under cold water to rid wash away chemicals. Adjust the light exposure and color settings. Set desired height for size of area the light covers. Remove the negative holder tray and insert the film correctly(if using film) and place it back in place properly. Set the focus using the focus knob on the right hand side for the best focus or desired focus.
