         <title>Roman aqueducts</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.The roman aqueducts were made of stone, brick and volcanic cement.<br>2.Aqueducts were very important to Romans because it supplied water to them. Also it allowed them to create more water needing structures like fountains and baths.<br>3. The roman aqueducts were used for carrying water down from mountains to the towns.<br>4. Aqueducts were made with not only stone but with arches of lead pipes and clay.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Roads were built for the roman army so it would be easier to travel.<br>2. There roads were kept straight and not curvy so that traveling would be easier. And there couldn't be something hiding be hiding on the other bend.<br>3. A road that was famous in roman time was called the Via Appia.<br>4. There roads were built higher and ditches were built beside them to help with drainage.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

A dome is a hemisphere that starts from an arch, and then forms a roof. &nbsp;<br>3. Domes are often used for government buildings, even though the Romans used it with Islamic art.&nbsp;<br>4. Domes had to have support from the walls.</div>]]></description>

The Romans used arches because with them, they could build very large structures that were important to them.<br>2.The Rome arches were an incredible advantage, allowing them to create huge structures.<br>3. Arches were first made by the Etruscans, however the Roman people adopted the idea in the 1st century in C.E<br>4. Arches are very strong, because the weight between the arch and the posts are evenly distributed.</div>]]></description>
